This quarter, our region attracted the global community's attention due to the situation in Afghanistan. In addition, almost all countries of the region have celebrated the 30th anniversary of state independence amid the authoritarian initiatives to restrict freedom of speech online.

We present the latest quarterly digest of online (and not only) CABAR.asia events.
CABAR.asia
СABAR.asia regularly publishes analytical materials. In this section, we present a selection of materials about the events in Afghanistan, a detailed analysis of military trends in the countries of the region, and an overview of the achievements of Central Asian countries at the Olympic Games.
Expert Meetings
One of the most important aspects of IWPR's work in the region is organising international expert meetings for the creation of a conceptual understanding of the various problems in Central Asia. Inviting professional analysts to our dialogue platform, together we try to understand the complex phenomena taking place in the region, as well as to develop methods to resolve problems effectively, giving practical recommendations to a wide circle of actors, including state decision-makers, the media, the nongovernmental sector, business, and the academic community.

In the third quarter, we held meetings on the protection of human rights and the civil society's role in the development of democracy in the countries of the region.
