The festival has united nearly 200 participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, including experienced and beginner podcasters, those who are going to record their first podcast or just think about it.
Trainings on podcasting
Podcasting is becoming an increasingly popular genre of multimedia journalism. According to the data of Apple, there are now over a million podcasts in the world. In Central Asia, this genre is just beginning to develop and is mainly based on enthusiasts.
Mediaschool Cabar.asia develops this direction by conducting training and festivals. Mediaschool also provides technical and mentoring support to those who want to create podcasts or improve existing ones.
So, from 3-6 March, the Mediaschool CABAR.asia conducted training on the basics of podcasting for students of the Faculty of Journalism in Tashkent on the basis of two universities.
