September was remarkable for its special mood and "presence effect". We held one-week intensive course for 30+ young experts from the region and the first round of the Kilogram of Content Marathon, which united 200+ young people from four countries who created 600+ stories and new thoughts on the social networks. School of Analytics
IWPR Central Asia together with the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and with financial support from the Norwegian Foreign Ministry held the Third CABAR.asia School of Analytics for the young analysts. This year, the School was held online. 30 young professionals from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated in the School.

The main goal of the educational program is to increase the young analysts' potential, to improve methods of analysis, to develop critical and logical thinking, their skills in developing analytical publications, data analysis, visualization and other important aspects.

The School of Analytics also promotes the regional integration of young analysts, opens up opportunities for joint research, production of analytical materials and exchange of views on various relevant issues of Central Asian countries.
Regional Expert Meeting:
"Women's Portrait in Media"

The meeting participants discussed the discrimination in media, how the discrimination is broadcast in the media and how female media workers are discriminated. During the meeting, the speakers talked about the importance of the linguistic choices in the coverage of women's stories by the example of Central Asian media and the importance of covering gender issues.

IWPR research activities in Central Asia are aimed at detailed study of important trends and problems that need to be solved.

A year ago, IWPR CA presented the first regional research on new media "Online News Consumption in Central Asia", which remains relevant to this day.
